Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten Registration for 2025-2026 begins tomorrow and takes place through February using our online registration portal. Registration will continue throughout the school year and summer, but we encourage parents of incoming Kindergarteners to register during this time so the school district can plan for the number of students who will be attending Kindergarten in the Fall of 2025.
To enter Kindergarten in September, a child must be 5 years old by October 1, 2025. Please note that kindergarten registration is only available for those with current proof of residency in Millburn Township. If you intend to move here but are not yet a resident, please wait to register until you have the required documentation.
Find registration instructions and information on our Registration page here.
Good News!!
๐ Winter Readers!
Thank you to our elementary media specialists, Meg Fahrenbach, Cara Hantson, and Hope Shuster, for organizing this yearโs Winter Reading Challenge. The results show that there were 936 participants over the winter break and through January. What a wonderful connection between home and school to share a love of reading!
๐ Dragon Dancers visit our Elementary Schools!
Thanks to the Millburn Short Hills Chinese Association and their Dragon Dance team, who once again presented a Dragon Dance assembly at all six of our elementary schools today. Student volunteers from each school participated in the dragon dance, making their way through the hallways and performing the dance for all at the end. Great job after only 2 rehearsals!
Thanks to all involved for giving our students the opportunity to enjoy this Lunar New Year tradition!

February is Love the Bus Month!
In February we will take time to appreciate our student transportation vehicles, which are school buses of all sizes and colors. And, of course, we appreciate the many hard-working school bus drivers and aides who spend their time making sure our students get to school and back safely. Lastly, we want to recognize those who work in student transportation offices behind the scenes, ensuring each day runs smoothly.
To celebrate, the NJDOE has named Wednesday, February 12, 2025, as Wear Yellow Day. Show your support of student transportation by showcasing your favorite yellow clothing, shoes, or accessories. We thank you for your support!
There is a Delayed Opening for students this Monday, February 3, for a morning of Professional Development for our staff. Schools open 2 hours later than normal.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Best Regards,
Dr. Kate Diskin
